UPROOTED GIANTS | Home goods made from reclaimed wood
In 2017, Hurricane María tore a path of unprecedented destruction across the Caribbean. In addition to the incalculable human toll, Puerto Rico saw cataclysmic levels of damage to its forests. In the last two years, the people of Puerto Rico have invested in the healing process, including an explosion of art and creative expression by repurposing damaged materials.

I founded UPROOTED as an embodiment of this vision. Trees from our family farm that fell during the storm have been repurposed into vessels for new life and 10% of the proceeds go to Para la Naturaleza, an organization dedicated to the recovery of Puerto Rico’s forests.
